The proposed task force will integrate multiple federal agencies, including the Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of the Treasury. This unified mechanism aims to address the $11 billion in theft and fraud losses recorded last year, providing victims with a consolidated federal response strategy.
