Woofun AI reports that the Bitcoin Core development team has identified a critical privacy flaw within the -privatebroadcast feature introduced in version 31. Under specific network configurations, this vulnerability inadvertently exposes the sender's IP address to the receiving node, compromising user anonymity. A corrective patch addressing this security gap is scheduled for deployment in the forthcoming version 31.1 update.
