Starknet Launches Privacy SDK and Wallet API for Private DeFi Development
Starknet releases open-source Privacy SDK and Wallet API, enabling developers to build private DeFi apps using STRK20 tokens with zero-knowledge proofs without managing underlying infrastructure.
Woofun AI reports that Starknet has officially launched its open-source Privacy Development Kit, comprising the Privacy SDK and Privacy Wallet API. The TypeScript-based SDK, licensed under Apache 2.0, targets wallets and advanced integrators, while the API allows standard DApps to utilize starknet.js for asset masking, transferring, and swapping without handling private keys or zero-knowledge proofs directly. Starknet confirms its STRK20 privacy token standard is live on mainnet, converting ERC-20 tokens into assets with masked balances and private transfers verified via zero-knowledge STARK proofs. Ecosystem projects including avnu, Troves, ForgeYields, Ready, Xverse, and Ekubo are currently building applications using this privacy stack.
