NVIDIA and OpenAI are negotiating a $500B AI data center in Ohio with 10GW capacity. NVIDIA may fund $250B for SBEnergy campus, signaling massive infrastructure expansion.
Woofun AI reports that Nvidia and OpenAI are in discussions regarding a supercomputing project valued at approximately $500 billion, located in southern Ohio. The facility aims for a maximum power capacity of 10GW, potentially establishing it as the world's largest data center. Nvidia may provide $250 billion in funding to OpenAI to lease a campus developed by SBEnergy, a SoftBank subsidiary, with total costs exceeding $500 billion including $350 billion for AI chips. Phase I is targeted for completion by 2028 with 800MW initial capacity. The project utilizes federal land resources, supported by US and Japanese interests, following Japan's pledge of $33 billion for energy infrastructure.
