Storage Stocks Slide 40-60% From June Highs
Major memory makers SK Hynix, Samsung, and Kioxia drop 40-60% from peaks. US peers Micron and WD also retreat significantly, signaling broad sector weakness.
Woofun AI data shows that the global storage sector has entered a technical bear market, with South Korean leader SK Hynix falling nearly 50% from its June high of 2,987,000 KRW to 1,550,000 KRW. Samsung Electronics declined approximately 41% from 374,500 KRW to 220,000 KRW, while the KOSPI index dropped 36% from its June peak. Japanese firm Kioxia plummeted over 60% from 112,700 JPY to 44,550 JPY.
US market data indicates similar downward pressure, with Micron Technology and Seagate retreating about 29% from their highs. SanDisk fell roughly 46%, Western Digital dropped 38%, and the Roundhill Memory ETF declined over 35%. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index recorded a 21% pullback from its peak.
