HashKey Plans Full Acquisition of Singapore Licensed Derivatives Exchange APEX
HashKey subsidiary signs non-binding deal to buy all APEX equity. Target holds MAS exchange and clearing licenses. Deal pending final docs and regulatory approval.
Woofun AI reports that HashKey Holdings Limited’s wholly-owned subsidiary, HKDAG SG, has entered into a non-binding framework agreement with major shareholders of the Singapore derivatives exchange APEX. The agreement concerns the potential acquisition of all equity in APEX, with acquisition price and payment terms yet to be determined.
APEX holds a recognized exchange license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, while its member Asia Pacific Clear possesses a recognized clearing house license. HashKey stated that completing the transaction would establish a more scalable regulated presence in Singapore. The deal remains subject to final document execution and MAS approval, neither of which has occurred as of the announcement date.
