Safe Q2 Transactions Hit Record 130M, Assets Under Custody Reach $27.2B
Safe smart accounts processed a record 130M transactions in Q2 with 5.7% growth. Self-custodied assets totaled $27.24B, while Safenet Beta attracted 54.8M staked tokens.
Woofun AI data shows that Safe smart accounts processed nearly 130 million transactions during the second quarter, establishing a new quarterly historical record and reflecting a 5.7% quarter-over-quarter increase. The total account count reached 63.4 million, representing a 20% year-on-year rise, while monthly active accounts in June climbed to 2.73 million. April alone saw transaction volume peak at 55.4 million, the highest single-month figure to date.
Quarterly transfer volume amounted to $39.3 billion, an 8% year-on-year increase, with self-custodied assets totaling $27.24 billion at quarter-end, including $6.48 billion in stablecoins. Project revenue grew 42% year-on-year to $1.98 million. Co-founder Lukas Schor noted that Safe is expanding beyond asset holding into broader use cases, maintaining compound growth despite market conditions. The Safenet Beta, launched on April 2, secured 54.8 million staked SAFE tokens from 539 stakers in its first quarter and verified over 500,000 transactions via six validators, including Greenfield and Gnosis. Following the KelpDAO incident, Aave-led DeFi United coordinated approximately $300 million through Safe accounts to restore rsETH support, involving over 142,000 wallets.
