Samsung SDS Cloud Revenue Surges 17% Amid Dunamu Stablecoin Collaboration
Samsung SDS reports Q2 cloud revenue up 17% YoY to 779.4B won, while advancing stablecoin and AI payment talks with exchange Dunamu to build digital asset infrastructure.
Woofun AI reports that Samsung SDS is negotiating with South Korean exchange Dunamu on stablecoin infrastructure, next-generation AI payments, and virtual asset financial system integration. President Lee Joon-hee stated the partnership aims to merge Dunamu’s blockchain operations with Samsung’s IT, AI, and security capabilities to expand digital financial infrastructure.
Q2 revenue reached 3.7178 trillion won, a 5.9% year-on-year increase, with operating profit at 231.8 billion won, up 0.7%. Cloud computing revenue grew 17% to 779.4 billion won, driven by a 75% surge in external cloud services. The company plans to expand AI infrastructure capacity from 110MW to 230MW by 2029, and over 800MW by 2031.
