Hyperscale Data Secures $30M Bitcoin-Backed Loans via Morpho Protocol
Hyperscale Data accessed $30M in 比特币-backed loans on Morpho at 4.9% interest, funding Michigan AI data centers while retaining collateral ownership.
Woofun AI reports that Hyperscale Data (NYSE: GPUS) executed a decentralized finance strategy using the Morpho protocol to secure Bitcoin-backed financing. As of August 2, the firm obtained approximately $30 million in loans at a floating interest rate of roughly 4.9%, utilizing a portion of its Bitcoin holdings as collateral. The capital will fund AI data center construction in Michigan and general corporate needs, including working capital, while the company retains long-term ownership of the pledged assets.
Executive Chairman Milton Todd Ault III stated that Bitcoin serves as a strategic financial asset capable of generating liquidity without sacrificing ownership, rather than merely acting as a balance sheet reserve. The company intends to maintain a balance between unsecured and Bitcoin-backed loans to preserve financial flexibility for growth initiatives, such as the Michigan data center expansion.
