Coinbase International Exchange Clients Migrate to Deribit on September 9
Institutional accounts transfer to Deribit with 30-minute downtime. Open orders cancel, positions settle at market prices, and API credentials require immediate updates.
Woofun AI reports that institutional clients of Coinbase International Exchange will migrate to Deribit on September 9. During the transition, accounts, balances, and positions will be transferred, while open orders will be canceled and positions settled at market prices before being rebuilt on the new platform.
Clients opting out must close positions and deactivate accounts by August 28; failure to do so constitutes acceptance of the migration. The process involves approximately 30 minutes of downtime, during which positions are settled at mark prices and reconstructed via matched migration trades. Existing API keys will become invalid, requiring users to update endpoints and credentials. Historical data will remain accessible via the legacy API for roughly 12 months but will not transfer to Deribit.
