Kioxia Stock Surges 6.6% as Joint BiCS10 3D QLC NAND Launch Sets Density Record
Kioxia shares jump 6.6% following the joint release of BiCS10 3D QLC NAND with SanDisk. The chip features a 332-layer structure and 37 Gb/mm² density, targeting high-capacity data center SSDs.
Woofun AI reports that Kioxia stock rose 6.6% as the Nikkei 225 Index opened higher by 3.12%. Kioxia and SanDisk unveiled the BiCS10 3D QLC NAND flash chip at the Future of Memory and Storage Conference, positioning it as the world's highest-density officially launched 3D NAND product. The chip utilizes a 332-layer stacked structure with a storage density of 37 Gb/mm², a 4800 MT/s interface, and Separate Command Address support, aiming for the high-capacity data center SSD sector. Compared to previous BiCS10 3D TLC products exceeding 29 Gb/mm², this QLC variant enhances storage capacity density. Analysts estimate the chip could reach approximately 1.33 Tb capacity under similar dimensions, though specific specifications remain undisclosed.
