Chinese Models Capture 80% of OpenRouter Top Ten Token Usage Slots

Eight of the top ten OpenRouter model slots are held by Chinese AI providers this week, with DeepSeek V4 Flash 0423 leading usage at 6.92 trillion tokens.

Woofun AI data shows that Chinese artificial intelligence models occupied eight positions in the weekly top ten for token usage on the OpenRouter aggregation platform. DeepSeek V4 Flash 0423 secured the first rank with 6.92 trillion tokens consumed, followed by Xiaomi MiMo-V2.5 and Tencent Hy3 in second and third place, respectively.

DeepSeek maintained a dominant presence with three entries, including DeepSeek V4 Flash 0731 at fourth. The remaining Chinese models in the top ten were Zhìpǔ GLM 5.2, MiniMax M3, and Step 3.7 Flash. Only two American providers appeared on the list: OpenAI’s GPT-5.6 Luna and NVIDIA’s Nemotron 3 Ultra.
