A-Share Optical Module Stocks Drop 10% on Unverified US Ban Rumors
Zhongji Xuchuang and peers plunge over 10% amid reports of a draft FCC ban on Chinese optical modules. Companies deny official restrictions, citing lack of authoritative sources.
Woofun AI reports that A-share communication equipment stocks opened sharply lower, with Zhongji Xuchuang falling over 13%, Lianchuang Technology down more than 11%, and Xinyisheng dropping over 10%. The sell-off followed market rumors that the US Federal Communications Commission is drafting a ban on importing new models of Chinese data center components, including optical modules.
Zhongji Xuchuang stated that the FCC has not issued any restrictive documents in this area and declined to comment on the unverified rumors. Xinyisheng noted the news lacks an authoritative source and will monitor impacts, while Tianfu Communication attributed the decline to market sentiment, clarifying that its optical modules are used by downstream customers.
