Woofun AI reports that Bitcoin Red Team, a volunteer security collective, detected 4,962 potential issues across 390 bitcoin ecosystem projects within 29.8 hours. The initiative, led by members including AnchorWatch CEO Rob Hamilton and developer Calle, utilized AI-assisted scanning combined with manual review to assess open-source code repositories.

The team identified an average of one critical vulnerability per person per hour, with 720 findings classified as high-risk or critical. As of the report, 21.4% of the identified issues have been reproduced. This rapid audit commenced shortly after the Coldcard hardware wallet incident, which resulted in bitcoin thefts exceeding $100 million.
