Woofun AI reports that the Aurora mainnet, an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) scalability network operating on the NEAR Protocol, has ceased all operations. This critical infrastructure failure was first identified by Onchain Lens, marking a significant disruption for the NEAR ecosystem’s primary bridge for Ethereum-based assets. The incident represents a complete suspension of on-chain activity, leaving the network non-functional and isolating users from their digital assets.
The operational collapse began at precisely 2:16 a.m. UTC on July 20, when the Aurora mainnet stopped producing blocks. As of the latest monitoring updates, the network remains in a state of full chain halt, with no new transactions being confirmed. Despite the severity of the service interruption, the Aurora team has not issued an official statement regarding the root cause or provided an estimated time for restoration. The absence of communication has left the community in a state of uncertainty, with the network’s status remaining static and unresponsive since the initial failure.
