CryptoQuant's CEO says the bitcoin bear cycle is over. Their bull score went from 30 to 80 in seven days. I want one more thing before I agree: a weekly close above 81,100. We got to 81,455 on Thursday and gave it straight back.

The thing that actually kicked off bitcoin's 25% run was boring. The US Treasury said it would double some of its long bond buybacks, to at least 4 billion a go. Yields came down and money went looking for risk.

Two ETF numbers get mixed up all the time. Flows are money going in and out. Assets are what the funds actually hold. On Friday 201.8 million left, but assets fell over 3 billion. The rest of that is just the bitcoin price.

Bullish just handed a lending protocol 100 million dollars to make loans backed by graphics cards. Miss the payments and the lender takes the chips and nothing else. Crypto money is now funding the AI buildout directly.

I have been saying stablecoins are the best thing crypto has built. On Friday the head of the BIS stood up at Jackson Hole and said they are not credible for payments at scale. I still disagree with him. He is the most serious person to say it so far.
