🚨 THE BIGGEST U.S. CRYPTO BILL JUST TOOK A MAJOR STEP FORWARD. Senate Republicans have released an updated 616-page version of the CLARITY Act. The latest draft includes several new changes as lawmakers race to secure enough votes before the August recess. Here are the biggest updates: • The bill would prohibit the President, Vice President, Members of Congress, senior executive branch officials, and their spouses from issuing or promoting digital assets. • The restriction also extends to former Presidents, including Donald Trump, marking one of the biggest changes made during negotiations. • A new Law Enforcement section has been added, including: More funding for crypto investigations. Expanded blockchain analytics capabilities. A new cyber center focused on nation-state threats. A public-private task force to combat crypto fraud. Authority to freeze, seize, burn and reissue stablecoins under lawful orders. The bill also strengthens bankruptcy protections, ensuring customer digital assets remain customer property if a crypto exchange or custodian fails. The Senate has less than 3 weeks before lawmakers leave Washington for the August recess. If an agreement isn't reached before then, the biggest U.S. crypto market structure bill in years could face another delay.

By bringing emerging technology under a clear federal umbrella while preserving the gold-standard protections of the U.S. financial system, this bill represents a major legislative achievement that the Senate should pass without delay.
