If you’re like me, you probably didn’t start thinking about life insurance until later in life. Many don’t until something changes: a medical scare, starting a family, or just getting older.
The reality of life insurance is that the younger and healthier someone is, the better a policy they are likely to find.
Life insurance is a long-term business and underwriters have to be practical about the risks they are willing to underwrite. Age and health matter a lot.
Take our whole life policy, a 25 year-old will secure a larger death benefit than a 55 year-old from the same amount of premiums paid.
That doesn’t mean you are too late. Maybe you own the policy while insuring another eligible life. But being young is a great time to look at your options.
