This week, we rang the Nasdaq closing bell. I'm still catching my breath. Some backstory on why this one means so much. I've spent my career backing the idea that technology should put power directly in the hands of the people who create value. Roundtable is that idea made real for a $200B media industry - publishers paid in real time and owning the audience they build. Today, it's a public company. Roundtable (NASDAQ: RTB) is now the world's first AI/DeFi enterprise platform built for premium media. Live in Times Square, beta complete, millions of users already on the network. Blockchain Founders Fund backed this at pre-seed, before the platform, before the users, when it was still mostly conviction. It became our largest investment to date, and I stepped in as CFO because the thesis was too clean to walk away from. We believed it early. Watching it ring the bell is something else entirely. A milestone like this has a lot of hands on it. None of it exists without @JamesCHeckman, whose original vision started all of it. @Eyal Hertzog, who invented the DeFi protocol the entire platform runs on. Bill Sornsin, who carried the product and technical execution. And Walton Comer, whose leadership as Chairman steered us through the merger and the listing. Most industries let you wait for clarity. Crypto never has. Founders keep telling me they're waiting. For regulatory clarity. For the market to turn. For the infrastructure to mature. It sounds prudent. It's the most expensive habit in this industry. Because in crypto, delay can cost you a cycle. The window where capital is available, users are curious, and a category is still unclaimed stays open for maybe eighteen months. Miss it and the next one is three or four years out, with better-funded competitors already inside. I've watched two teams with near-identical products end up in completely different places, and the difference wasn't insights. One shipped into an uncertain market. The other waited for the rules to settle. The rules didn't settle. They never do. So the discipline isn't about certainty, rather about designing decisions that don't require it. Ship the product in the jurisdiction that's clear today. Structure the token so a rule change doesn't kill you. Pick the reversible version of the decision whenever one exists. Decide at 70%. The other 30% shows up after you move, if it shows up at all.
