If you can find novel information that does not exist on the public internet, you can create additional novel "programs" in the vector database of the LLM. With CoT, you can then cycle through "those novel programs" and recombine them into new solutions. You do not need analytical texts that predict the future to do that. Francois Chollet captures this in his post on o3 (below) The skills that existing LLMs acquired did not come from analytical texts that attempted to predict the future. They came from the corpus of the internet, which then provided them with static skills that they can pull on. The more knowledge you give them, the more skills they acquire. My theory is that there are still some hidden skills existing behind paywalls and within walled gardens of data.
