One theme came through clearly in my conversations with major institutions: the next wave of DeFi adoption will depend on robust modular isolation and institutional-grade risk management tools built directly into smart contracts. Features like circuit breakers, permissioned vaults, and collateral limits — all enabled by Euler Hooks — are increasingly becoming requirements for institutional participation, especially after recent market events. This has been a core focus at Euler, and we believe the infrastructure is now ready for the next phase of DeFi growth.

HyperEVM markets are moving into the core Euler experience. HypurrFi helped bring Euler-based lending markets to Hyperliquid through Mewler. As that deployment transitions, Euler is bringing HyperEVM coverage in-house. We are excited to serve the expanded community directly as this represents a more direct path for users, curators, and teams building on Euler.

Totally agree. For DeFi to reach a broader audience, lending protocols need stronger risk management and crisis response built directly into smart contracts. Features like pause mechanisms, permissioned vaults, collateral limits, utilization caps, and transaction pre-screening should and will become the standard. These safeguards can already be implemented using Euler Hooks, which give vault governors on Euler the ability to customize and control vault operations to better protect users.

It’s been a real privilege working alongside Kasper to bring Euler into its next phase. A clear, honest assessment of what worked and what didn’t is non-negotiable as we move forward. Euler’s core architecture and protocol design proved sound, but the lessons learned are just as important and are directly informing how we build from here. Euler V2 remains the most flexible and tested vault infrastructure capable of supporting lending markets across a wide range of structures, with the level of control required by professional risk curators and institutional participants. From here, the focus is straightforward — build the best lending infrastructure onchain. That means materially advancing curator tooling, user experience, the underlying technical foundation and much more. We’re executing against that vision now. More to share soon.
