Zimbabwe SECZ Approves 7 Fintech Firms for Regulatory Sandbox Testing
SECZ grants sandbox access to 7 fintechs covering blockchain, tokenization, and crowdfunding. The move aims to foster innovation and financial inclusion within Zimbabwe's capital market under strict regulatory oversight.
Woofun AI reports that the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe (SECZ) has authorized seven fintech entities to operate within its regulatory sandbox. The approved participants include Zimbabwe Entrepreneurship Exchange, Ndarama Standard, Questview Brokers, Crowdaxe Capital, Procode Platforms, Financial Securities Exchange, and Colmin Resources Zimbabwe. These firms will test blockchain platforms, asset tokenization, synthetic trading, and crowdfunding services in a controlled environment before broader market entry.
SECZ stated that the program seeks to promote responsible innovation, enhance financial inclusion, and ensure fair development of the local capital market. The regulator will continuously monitor participants and may issue additional directives or operational requirements during the testing phase.
