The service carries a monthly fee of up to $100,000 and is primarily targeted at trading firms and enterprises. Interim CEO Kevin McGurn stated that the API aims to deliver a "direct, licensed, real-time, and most market-influential Truth post data feed" to institutions. The @realDonaldTrump account currently holds 13 million followers, with key policy decisions often announced first on the platform.

Prior to the launch, U.S. Democratic Senators Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren wrote to the Securities and Exchange Commission requesting an investigation into potential legal violations by Trump Media. They argued the service could constitute leveraging the presidential office for personal gain, potentially harming retail investors and market integrity.
